The Photographic Society of BIT Mesra or PSOC is one of the most actively involved clubs of the institute. As the name suggests, PSOC is the official club concerned with photography during all events held in the college. It is also responsible for conducting various exhibitions to bring to attention the wonderful works by our amateur photographers as well as some experienced ones, and also makes sure that these works get the deserved appraisal.

Andhra Pradesh Photographic Society (APPS) was started by Raja Triambaka Raj and his friends in 1957 to promote the art and science of photography. APPS has conducted several workshops and photographic outings for its members. Most of these were conducted by the learned members of the Society itself. Several courses were also conducted to introduce photography to the newcomers in this field. The Society also conducts regular competitions for its members to enable them to hone their skills. APPS has also conducted numerous salons at national and state levels.

The Photographic Association of Dum Dum (PAD) is a registered voluntary organization, affiliated to FIP, National body for Photography in India, serving for the cause of photographic development since its inception in 1957. Its motto is to promote and propagate Photography through different ways in various capacities.

The Photographic Society of Pune was incepted on 12th August, 2001 by some like minded photo enthusiasts. With one common motto of dedicating Photography to Art Form they joined hands and PSP was formed. Today, it is the members who are taking the Society from strength to strength by their keen interest and proactive participation in the self defining activities of the Society. The Photographic Society of Pune is by the photo enthusiasts, of the photo enthusiasts and for the photo enthusiasts.

The Photographic Society of Madras was founded in 1857 by Dr. Alexander Hunter and the Honorable Walter Elliot and has a hallowed heritage. One of the earliest photographic societies in the world, the PSM, was established to bring together photographers and enthusiasts of various hues, to create an opportunity for learning, exchanging of ideas, appreciation of the art, exposition of the science, having fun traveling, exploring and doing things together. The PSM has over 32 programs every year; including get-togethers, discussions, expositions, travel, workshops and family fellowships.

Photographic Society of Asansol (PSA) is the pioneer organization for propagating photographic aesthetics within the cosmopolitan cultural heritage and hectic industrial activities of the age-old city of Asansol-Burnpur. It is maintaining its honest effort since its birth in the year 1983.

The Photographic Society of India was founded in the year 1937 by a handful of very enthusiastic artists in the field of photography who were not only from metropolis of Mumbai but from India at large. They also duly constituted this wonderful organization. The Photographic Society of India largely known as PSI.

Principally, we are a bunch of people who encourage and respect creativity in photography as well as in every single thing we do. For us, photography is not just a hobby that we pursue when we have time to spare; we make time for it. Today, BPC is an association of more 800 members. This is an open forum where anyone could come up with ideas aligned with the vision of the club or to promote the club itself, lead the project. ‘Frames of Mind’ is the annual photography exhibition which all members look forward to every year.

The Photography Club of Mumbai is a platform for photographers – professional and amateur – to improve their photography skills, provide a well-connected peer network, promote experimentation and generally socialize with fellow photographers in the city of Mumbai. The club was established in 2006 by students of the TJP-GRS Introduction to Photography course, under the guidance of Mr. Shirish Barodia.
