NCPF is the "umbrella" organisation supporting and co-ordinating about 50 clubs in and area covering Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, Durham, Cleveland, North Cumbria and parts of North Yorkshire. Founded in 1901 it is the second oldest such organisation in the UK. Amongst its acitivities is the organisation of the "Northern Counties International Salon of Photography".
